Jane McDonald

She was born and reared in Chester county ( Luray Community), daughter of the late Jerry Clyde and Mary Lessie Mullins Smith. She went to school in Chester County and in 1948 she married Robert Gilbert and he passed in 1994. She then married William Ada and he passed in 1999 and then she married Lynn McDonald and he passed in 2005.

Jane has made her home in Chester and McNairy County all of her life. She worked at Slant and Slant in Henderson and then worked at several clothing manufacturing companies in this area. She loved to cook, especially for her family. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church.



She is survived by three son; Ronnie Gilbert of Finger, Jeff Gilbert of Linden and Keith Ada of Hohenwald, two brothers Jerry Paul Smith of Henderson and Buddy Smith of Finger, five sisters Loraine Butler, Bobbie Weaver, Sammie Cherry and Stella Malone all of Henderson and Wilda Mae Maness of Bartlett. Four grandchildren and Ten great grandchildren
