Janet Williams

Janet Williams was born January 15, 1947 in Selmer, TN the daughter of the late Warren D. and Polly Elaine Hicks King.

She was united in marriage to Joseph H. (Joe) Williams on August 2, 1965. Mr. Williams preceded her in death on May 24, 2005, following 39 years of marriage.

Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Selmer High School. She was formerly employed by Western Mental Health as a Nurse's Aide, and also worked in the garment industry until her children were born, at which time she chose to become a homemaker. She also enjoyed sewing for her family.

Mrs. Williams departed this life on July 10, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 5 Months, 25 Days. She is survived by a son, Mark Williams of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Delaina McLain and husband Andre of Selmer, TN; four grandchildren: Eva Williams, Matthew Williams, Mason McLain, and Dylan McLain; two sisters, Nancy Odem and Lisa Rorie, both of Burnsville, MS; a brother, Roger King of Selmer, TN; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by two sisters, Diane Kirk and Rhonda Kiestler; and four brothers: Dwight King, Dennis King, Gary King, and Richard King.
