Janice Lee Tims Merrick, age 70 of Stanton, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Janice Lee Merrick was born Saturday, June 22, 1946, in Toone, TN, to the late Luther Leroy Tims and Alice Lela Cupples. Janice was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with her grandkids. Throughout her life she lived in Hardeman, Madison, and Haywood counties.
She is survived by three daughters, Donna Ivey(David) of Lexington, Renia Drake(Terry) of Atwood, and Tanya Dodd of Stanton; five grandchildren, Lela Drake, Roger Ivey, Shannon Drake, Rachel Ivey, and Haley Brogdon; five great-grandchildren, Hayden White, Landon Bettie, Brantley Drake, Drake Powell, Karly Clifton, and one more great-granddaughter on the way; and many nieces and nephews, Vickey, Debra, Karen, Daniel, and Ronney. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Leroy Tims and Alice Lela Cupples; and a sister, Joyce Douglas.
