Jan Blount Mintz

Jan Blount Mintz

was born in Florence, Alabama on March 26, 1947 the daughter of the late Thomas Jason Blount, Sr. and Willie Louise Caperton Blount.

She was united in marriage to Michael Mintz, who preceded his wife in death on October 27, 2004.

Jan worked as a teacher for the Hardin County Board of Education for over 40 years.  She was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Jan loved spending time with her nephews and their children.  She also enjoyed going to the beach and camping.

Jan departed this life on Monday, February 19, 2024 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 24 days.

She is survived by one brother, Thomas Jason Blount, Jr. of Jackson, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jan was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Jean Blount.
