Janice Murphy Davis, age 68 of Middleton, passed away Friday evening, March 10, 2017, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Janice Elizabeth Murphy Davis was born on Thursday, January 27, 1949, to the late Jerry Bowman Murphy and Annie Nelms Mitchell in Middleton, TN. She worked in housekeeping at Western State Mental Health Institute. Janice was a member of New Bethany Church of Christ and lived all of her life in Hardeman County.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Walker; a sister, Annette Murphy Ray (Herman) of Olive Branch, MS; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Bowman Murphy and Annie Nelms Mitchell; three brothers, Bowman, Harold and Richard Murphy; and a sister, Betty Blackwell.
