Janice Williams, age 68 of Bolivar, died at her home on Tuesday morning, June 16, 2015 after a long illness. She was born to Boyd Hooten and Minnie Odell Dudley on August 12, 1946, in Bemis. She married Ben T. Williams on May 9, 1964. They were married for 51 years. She was the owner and founder of several businesses, The Gingerbread School and Video Zone. She also managed Dixie Gas Company for ten years. She was an entrepreneur and a world traveler. She loved being with family, and seeing her grandson grow up. She spent most of her life in Hardeman County. She is survived by her husband, Ben T. Williams of Bolivar; her two daughters, Amanda and Haylee Williams of Bolivar; her two sons, Ben Williams III and Andrew Williams of Bolivar; her two sisters, Becky Waddell of Jackson, TN, and Sandra Robbins of Collierville, TN; her brother Charles Hooten of Jackson, TN; and a grandson, Jackson Boyd Williams of Bolivar. She is preceded in death by her parents, Boyd Hooten and Minnie Odell Dudley of Bemis; and her brothers Tony and Ralph Hooten. Her family will have a celebration of her life on July 11 at First South Bank in South Jackson from 1pm to 3pm. All friends and family are invited to attend.
