Ms. Dacus passed from this life Saturday evening, August 18, 2012 at Regional Hospital in Jackson.
She was born May 30, 1949 to Louis Edward and Rosie Ellen Spencer Dacus in Hardeman County, where she lived all her life. A homemaker, she was always ready to help and good to everyone; and she was considered a "mother to all". She was a member of New Union Baptist Church and had attended Big Springs Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Glidewell Brooks and husband Tim of Pinson; a sister Mable Hopper and a brother James Dacus, both of Bolivar; 3 grandchildren Cody, Dusty, and Colton Lynch; 2 great grandchildren, Jason and Reagan Lynch; numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, William and Coleman Dacus, and several half sisters and brothers.
