Janie A. Morris

Mrs. Janie Cannon Morris departed this life on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 7 Months, 7 Days. She was born June 1, 1934 in Wayne County, TN the daughter of the late Jim and Flora Clayton Cannon. In addition to her parents, Mrs Morris was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Dedrick; four brothers, Carl, Les , Jessie and J.C. Cannon; three sisters, Anna Bell Baker, Mary Ruth Erdman and Madge Griggs.

She was united in marriage to Joe Morris on December 29, 1955.

Mrs. Jane was a retired cook with the school syster and a homemaker . She was a of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband Joe Morris of Waynesboro, TN; three sons, Billy Joe Morris of Conway, AR, Richard Morris of Iron City, TN, and Paul Thomas Cannon of Nashville, TN; 7 grandchildren.

Services will be held on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bobby Webb and Leamon Quillen officiating. Burial will follow in Philadelphia Cemetery , Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 9, 6:00-9:00 pm and on Sunday, January 10, 10:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro, TN
