Janie Chloe Brumley Tull, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth, Mississippi. She was born on October 6th, 1941, in Bethel Springs, Tennessee, where she lived her entire life, creating a legacy rooted in family, faith, and community.
Janie was the devoted wife of the late James Donald Tull, whom she married on August 15th, 1959. Their love story began long before their wedding day, as they had known each other their entire lives. Together, they shared many years of love and happiness.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents, Julia Louvie Jones Brumley and Joseph Gilbert Brumley, her twin brother James Brumley, and her younger brother Jimmy Brumley.
Janie's greatest joy in life was her family. She was the proud mother of three sons who were her world: Don Christopher Tull, Jared Nathan Tull, and Phillip Dana Tull. She was also a beloved grandmother to four grandsons and one granddaughter who knew her as “nanny,” Cody Tull and wife Brandie, Brady Tull, Houston Tull and wife Katie, Dillon Tull and wife Illissa, and Scarlett Tull and fiancé, Alex Ross. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren: Allana Tull, Abby Tull, Hudson Tull, Caroline Tull, Chloe Tull, Remington Tull, as well as a host of extended family and friends, including her lifelong friend Carolyn Hurst.
Janie was a member of the First Baptist Church Bethel Springs. She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent her days tending her garden and working with flowers, sewing and quilting, and cooking meals that brought her family together. She also cherished quiet moments reading, especially her Bible, and she found comfort in listening to Sunday sermons by the fire in her sitting room.
A woman of contrasts, Janie also enjoyed catching up on The Bachelor and sharing the latest scoop or gossip with her sister-in-law, Nancy. Breakfasts and lunches with her girlfriends were among her favorite moments of connection and joy.
A headstrong and feisty Christian woman, Janie embodied strength and grace. Her life was a testament to her unwavering faith, love for family, and a joyful spirit that will be deeply missed.
