Jean Brown

August 3, 1934 — December 9, 2015

Nona Jean Brown was born August 3, 1934 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late Travis Smith and Orbria Reed Boleyn.

Jean was united in marriage to Evan Brown Jr. on March 3, 1951. She was a member of the Meeks Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Stantonville, TN and a member of the Eastern Star. Jean worked for Brown Shoe Company, was a Beautician and had her own shop, drove a bus for Southwest Human Resource Agency, and was a Homemaker. Jean loved fishing, riding four wheelers, playing card games and most importantly, her family and her church.

She departed this life on December 9, 2015 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 4 Months, 6 Days.

Jean is survived by her husband Evan Brown Jr. of Stantonville, TN; a son, Rickey Brown (Lekie) of Jackson, TN; three grandchildren: Lydia Brown, Austin Brown and Andrew Brown; a brother, Hilton Smith of Largo, FL; one great grandchild, one niece, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs Brown was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Smith; and her stepfather, Tom Boleyn.
