Jean Ervin, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, in Middleton, Tennessee. Born on January 8, 1941, in Saulsbury, Tennessee, she blossomed into a caring and devoted individual who touched the lives of many during her 85 years.
Jean dedicated 35 years of her life to TKE (Dover), where she worked diligently on the assembly line until her retirement in 2005. Her strong work ethic was matched only by her compassion for others, a quality that endeared her to everyone she met.
Her love for family was undeniable. She is survived by her husband, Frank Ervin, who brought joy and laughter into her life. They shared countless cherished moments together. She is also leaves behind her son, Harry Cannon Jr, and her stepdaughter, LouWanna Marie Blake, both of whom have been blessed to call her mom. Jean's warm spirit and nurturing heart extended to her sisters, Shirley Dixon and Nancy Nichols, who were integral parts of her life.
Jean greeted each day with a spirit of warmth and enthusiasm, finding immense joy in her hobbies. She adored animals, especially her faithful companion, a dog named "Fluffy." She was often found working in her yard, surrounded by the beauty of nature, or playing with children, sharing in their laughter and innocence. Her home was a treasure trove of love and kindness, where family gathered, and memories were made.
She was a woman of faith, attending Rogers Springs Church of Christ, where her commitment to her beliefs brought her comfort and solace.
Jean's journey was not without its sorrows; she mourned the passing of her father, James Artry Teague, her mother, Mary Velma Duncan Teague, and her brother, Gerald Teague. They have gone on before her, alongside her stepson, Jimmy Joe Ervin, who will be waiting for her embrace with open arms.
A visitation honoring her life will take place on February 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Middleton, Tennessee. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at Rogers Springs Cemetery at 1:00 PM, where she will be laid to rest.
Jean's legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her. May her spirit continue to shine brightly through the memories she left behind.
