Jean Guy

February 10, 1942 — February 27, 2026

Selmer, Tennessee

Jean Nixon Guy, born on February 10, 1942, departed from this earthly realm on February 27, 2026, leaving behind a legacy steeped in love, dedication, and warmth. With over 25 years of devoted service at the Western Mental Health Institute, Jean touched countless lives throughout her career, embodying compassion and empathy in every interaction.

A woman of varied passions, Jean found joy and solace in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid camper, cherishing the great outdoors alongside her family, where laughter and shared stories wove the fabric of cherished memories. Quilting, too, was a beloved pursuit, her hands crafting intricate pieces that resonated with warmth—much like her own spirit, which enveloped all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Jean is survived by her three beloved sons: Ronny Nixon and his wife, Sandra; Donny Nixon and his wife, Tina; and Vonny Nixon. Their lives, enriched by her nurturing presence, are a testament to her unwavering love and guidance.

She now joins those who have passed before her, including her parents, Joseph Elmer Partridge and Lillie Mae Whitten Partridge, and her dear sister, JoAnn Plunk. Also welcoming her home are her half-siblings, Leoda Chambers and John Henry Partridge, along with three grandchildren, all of whom hold a cherished place in her heart.

A graveside service to honor Jean’s remarkable life will be held on March 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Wyatt Cemetery in Hornsby, Tennessee. Her memory shall linger in the hearts of many, a radiant reminder of a life well-lived and loved fiercely.
