Jeff Finley

July 4, 1960 — January 3, 2026

Enville, TN

Jeffrey Lynn Finley (Jiffy Pop) departed this life January 3rd at 6:35 am from Jackson General Hospital for his heavenly home.

Jeff was born on July 4th, 1960, in Henderson TN. He thought he was special because everyone celebrated his birthday. Jeff was a live wire full of nervous energy and full of laughter and love. At a young age he began hauling hay, gardening with family and being mischievous. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1978.

He then started working for Bobby Durbin’s Sawmill. Then Dement Construction and then Crane Service Inc. for 33 years.

Jeff was always a dedicated hard worker for his family, church and community. He was a member of the Milledgeville Community Church. Jeff held positions as alderman and the Enville Volunteer Fire Department. Jeff was proud of his accomplishments, but he was most proud of his son. He taught him how to work hard, play hard and love the Lord. Always teaching Cameron things he was already wise to.

Jeff’s hobbies were deer hunting, fishing at his river lot, wheeling and dealing on autos and equipment, and going to auctions. He enjoyed cattle farming with his son where they enjoyed quality time out in nature. He always loved hay season. When he felt like it, he helped his son with his business running the dozer or speeding down the road in the dump truck. He loved being at or on the water. Especially cruising the river with music and a cold beer. Hanging out with the river gang was a weekend highlight. Jeff was lucky with cards. Whether it was rook or playing poker with the boys. Jeff loved fast cars and loved watching his son race on the strip.

He leaves his wife of 42 1/2 years Lisa Finley; a son Cameron Finley (Amy); a daughter by love, Felicia Ross (David); grandchildren by love, Sadie and Cooper Shelby, Diane and Landon Alonso and Atleys Rouse; his mother Wanda Finley; a sister Tammy Austin; great nephew Greyson Pratt (Brandon); mother-in-law Mary Jo Hughes; sister-in-law Penny Middleton (Mike) and sister-in-law Dana Brasfield; also nieces Whisper and Starr Middleton and nephew Michael Middleton.

Jeff was proceeded in death by his father Clyde Wayne Finley; brother Anthony Wayne Finley; sister-in-law Debbie Finley; brothers-in-law Tim Austin and David Brasfield; and niece/daughter Casey Pratt.

The family would like to extend their love and appreciation for cards, calls, prayers and food!

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 7th at Milledgeville Community Church with Robert Conder and Gene Hanna officiating. Burial will follow at Milledgeville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Milledgeville Community Church 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday and 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time Wednesday.
