Jennie Gail Franks

Jennie Gail Moore Franks, aged 64, passed away on July 9, 2024, in Nashville, TN. She was born on July 5, 1960, in Savannah TN, daughter of the late Joseph and Ivogene Smith Moore. Jennie had a deep appreciation for nature and spent much of her time tending to her flowers, gardening, and going to the creek. She especially loved spending time with her family. 

Jennie is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Franks, her grandson, Hunter Dwayne Thompson, and her great-grandson, Christopher Suede Thompson; sisters, Glenda Arnold (Larry) and Glona Ponds; special sisters, Judy Ayers and Tanyia Smith; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in death by sister Brenda Simpson, brother Danny Moore, and grandson Kobe Lee Thompson. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood TN with Stacey Holt and John E. Banks officiating. Burial will follow in Centneary Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Thompson, Gill Gibbs, Tyler Arnold, Larry Arnold, Tim Hollis, and Charles Brown.
