Jerry DeMont Burvee

Mr. Burvee died Friday night at Bolivar General Hospital.
A native of Hartford, New York, Mr. Burvee was the son of the late Clinton and Helen Werkaiser Burvee. On April 10, 1965, he married Martha Jean Carson. They were married for 44 years until her death, May 24, 2009. The Burvees have been in Bolivar since April of 1998. A member of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship, he was a US Army veteran having served 1955-57 on active duty and an additional four years on reserve. Mr. Burvee was a retired truck and tour bus driver and also was employed by the Bolivar Bulletin-Times.
He leaves as his survivors, two sons, Jameson D. and Jason Burvee, both of Bolivar; a grandson, Brandon Burvee of Bolivar; a sister, Ruth Morrison of Marathon, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
