Jerry Wayne Carr

Jerry Wayne Carr was born on October 13, 1967 in Florence, Alabama, the son of the late Clyde Dalton and Emma Nola Strait Carr.

On July 23, 2022, he was united in marriage to Donna Hunt, who survives.

Jerry worked in the MST Department at Lowe's. He was a talented vocalist and sang with GraceSong and was a former member of Under Grace. He loved to sing, spend time with his family, play with his grandchildren, and watch sports, especially football. Mr. Carr was a member of Riverview Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. He had a heart for spreading the love of Jesus and preached across West and Middle Tennessee and filled in for lots of pastors.

Jerry Wayne Carr departed this life on September 22, 2026 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 58 years, 11 months, and 9 days.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Carr; sons, Joseph Carr (Sara), Jordan Carr. Jalen Carr (Rose), and Austin Carr (Morgan); sister, Sherry Daniel; grandchildren, Ellie Carr and Leland Carr; and his dogs, Teddy Wayne, Petunia Hyacinth, and Gabriel Nicholas. Jerry is also survived by a host of extended family and friends; the family of Bonnie and Lonnie Godwin; and his Lowe's family.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Angie Carr.
