Jerry J Cummins

Jerry J. Cummins of Cypress Inn, TN was born August 28, 1942 in Collinwood, TN the son of Ruby Pearl Cummins Martin of Collinwood, Tennessee and the late Sam Junior Miller. Mr. Cummins departed this life Sunday, December 20, 2015 at his home in Cypress Inn, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 3 Months, 22 Days. Jerry served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. As a retired machinist, Jerry had worked for Michigan Screw Products and had also worked at T.V.A. in Alabama. October 24, 1977 he was married to Sherill Diane Fielder Cummins who survives of Cypress Inn, TN. Other than his wife and mother he is survived by a son, Brian Keith Fielder of Fowlerville, MI, two daughters, Darla Sue Cummings of Pontiac, MI and Penny Michelle Cummings of Ferndale, MI, six grandchildren, Ashley, Lauren, Makala, C.J., Danielle, and Tony, and three great grandchildren, two brothers, Larry Edward Miller of Collinwood, TN and Roy Dale Miller of Lawrenceburg, TN, two sisters, Melissa Dianne Martin Butler of Cypress Inn, TN and Mable Marie Miller Berry of Collinwood, TN. In addition to his father, Mr. Cummins was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Ray (Guinea) Cummins.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 12:00 PM at Memorial Gardens in Collinwood, Tennessee with Ricky Nelson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow services in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Wednesday from 10:00-11:30 AM at the funeral home in Collinwood. In the event of bad weather, services will be in the funeral home chapel. Pallbearers are Brian Fielder, Don Weston, Davey Cummins, Bubba Cummins, Timmy Jon Cummings, and Tommy Beckham.
