Jerry Albert Earl Jackson of Waynesboro, TN was born January 20, 1944 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the son of the late Walter Leo and Lizzie Jane Thompson Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a disabled factory worker and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jackson departed this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 3 Months, 6 Days.
He is survived by sons, Marty Albert Jackson, Jamie Earl Jackson and wife, Jamie all of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Martha Nell Pulley and husband, Steve, Waynesboro, TN, Amy Suzanne Cook and husband, Tim, Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Michael Thompson, Brady Jackson, Dylan Jackson, Cody Jackson, Zackery Simpson, Chase Jackson, Savannah Cook, and Winfred Pulley; step-grandchildren, Sabrina Wilson, Amber Linville, Leslie Stooksberry, and T. J. Cook; brother, Billy Jackson, Iron City, TN; sisters, Bessie Barkley, Florence, AL and Dorothy Herston, Mobile, AL; several nieces and nephews; his former wife and mother of his children, Ruby Risner Siddle.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Jean Daniel and brothers, Bobby and Charles Jackson.
Services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Gene Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in the Butler Grove Cemtery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors directing. Pallbearers will be Rickey Jackson, Tim Barkley, Michael Thompson, Brady Jackson, Dylan Jackson, Cody Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Zackary Simpson, Chase Jackson.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, April 29, 2011 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
