Jerry Wayne Johnson departed this life on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 8 days. He was born in Waynesboro, Tennessee, on January 23, 1950, the son of the late William Walker and Margaret Jane Bratton Johnson. On April 19, 1971, he was united in marriage to Mackie Franks, who survives.
Jerry was a farmer. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting, watching westerns, and listening to gospel and bluegrass music.
In addition to his wife of 47 years, Mackie of Ramer, Tennessee, Jerry is survived by his sons, Richard Johnson of Adairsville, Georgia, Bobby Johnson of Ramer, Tennessee, and Allen Johnson of Waynesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Nathaniel Johnson, William Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Jr., Katlyn Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, Mary Johnson, Austin Johnson, and Madlynn Johnson; great grandchildren, Keira Johnson and Aston Bentley Johnson; brothers, Johnny Johnson and Robert Johnson, both of Lutts, Tennessee; and sisters, Janice Balentine of Cyrpess Inn, Tennessee and Beatrice Porter of Nashville, Tennessee.
Along with his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a grandson, Clarence Johnson; sisters, Linda Louise White, Mary Walker Martin, Gloria (Magel) Fisher, and Geneva Inglis; and brother, William Johnson.
