Jerry Johnson

William Jerry Johnson was born June 1, 1945 in Sardis, TN, the son of the late William Alex Johnson and Lorean Blackstock Johnson. He departed this life on June 12, 2024 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 11 Days.

Jerry was united in marriage to Faye Kiser on May 14, 1991. He proudly served in the United States Navy. 

He enjoyed coon hunting, riding horses, sharing stories and laughter. It was his genuine connection with others that truly set him apart. He had an ability to uplift those around him through conversation and humor leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Johnson; a daughter, Tammy Thomas; a son, Brian Hathcock; a sister, Sharon Shoemaker and husband Charles; a brother, Dannie Johnson and wife Edith; special daughter, Deonna Bennett and husband, Jimmy; eight grandchildren: Cory Locklear, John Ryan Thomas, Bart Brawley, Destiny Jones, Dillon Carnell, Mason Lipford, Jannie Hathcock, Niki Hathcock; bonus grandchildren, Triston Bennett and Cameron Flatt; six great grandchildren: Sage Whitten, Ivy Mae Conder, Addison Locklear, Macy Locklear, Carson Locklear, Brooklyn Brawley; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by two daughters, Reginia Lipford and Christie Lynn Newman; two sisters, Katie Hamm and Pam Thomas; a brother, Larry Blackstock; a grandchild, Cody Allen Miller; a great grandchild, Colby Miller.
