Jerry Thomas Phillips

Mr. Jerry Thomas Phillips, age 61 of Scotts Hill, passed from this life Saturday night, June 27, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.He was born January 4, 1948 in Whiteville, TN to the late Albert and Norvelle Baggett Phillips. He married Juanita Helen Kirk, who survives, June 27, 1970 and began working as an insurance salesman in 1974. He lived in Bolivar until 1991, moved to Memphis and has lived in Scotts Hill for the past 13 years. He served his country in the United States Air Force, was a member of the American Legion and the Church of Christ. He liked working in the yard and singing karaoke and loved his grandchildren.In addition to his wife, he was survived by a daughter, Jennifer Davis and her husband Don of Sardis, TN; a son, Jerry "Tommy" Phillips, Jr. and his fiancee Jamie of Jackson; five grandchildren, Katie Phillips, Daniel Phillips, Major Farrell, Jackson Farrell and Jessica Phillips; a sister, Judy Elrod of Whiteville; three brothers, Richard Phillips of Jackson, Bobby Jo Phillips of Somerville and Allen Phillips of Bolivar; and several nieces and nephews.
