Henderson, TN: Jerry Paul Smith age 89 passed away April 26, 2012 at the Henderson
Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born and reared in Chester County the son of the late Jerry Clyde and Mary Lessie Mullins Smith. He went to school at Glendale and in 1942 was married to Inetha Conder and they made their home in Chester County. He had worked in the logging business all of his life, logging locally and also in AR and MS. He loved to raise and train mules.
He is survived by two sons, Charles W. Smith and wife Bonnie of Henderson and Freddie Smith of Jackson; three daughters, Paulette Whitman and husband Larry, Mary Howell and husband Tommy and Betty Stout and husband Tommy all of Henderson; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a brother, Larry “Buddy†Smith of Henderson; five sisters, Loraine Butler of Henderson, Wilda Mae Maness of Memphis, Bobbie Weaver, Stella Malone and Thelma Cherry all of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inetha Conder Smith; two sons, Don Smith and Frankie Smith; a brother, Franklin Smith and a sister, Jane McDonald.
