Jerry Allen
Stanberry
April 25, 1951 – May 21, 2026
Jerry Allen Stanberry, a devoted husband, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 21, 2026 at the age of 75. Born on April 25, 1951, in Rienzi, Mississippi, to the late James Alvin and Kathryn Irene Reed Stanberry, Jerry was a man defined by his faith, his work ethic, and a constant, welcoming smile.
Jerry was a dedicated employee at World Color in Corinth, Mississippi, where he worked faithfully for 27 years. A remarkably handy man, he possessed the rare ability to fix just about anything that broke. He approached both his trade and his daily life with a favorite practical philosophy that he truly lived by: “Work smarter, not harder.”
A faithful Christian, Jerry was a deeply valued member of the Antioch Church of Christ in Ramer, Tennessee. He loved the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with his family, casting a line while fishing, and tending to his garden each year until his health declined.
On May 25, 1979, he was united in marriage to Bobbie Joyce Davis. Together, they shared nearly 47 years of marriage built on love, mutual support, and deep companionship.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Glenda Stanberry; and a nephew, Cody Braxton Davis.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Stanberry of Ramer, TN; his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Este Davis, William Wayne Davis and wife Linda, Hershel Leon Davis and wife Janie, James Clayton Davis and wife Bobbie, and Frankie Lane Davis and wife Barbara; and his sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Choate and husband Donnie, Barbara Jean Leatherwood and husband Larry, Brenda Jeanette Yates and husband Wan, and Belinda Jane Mohundro. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, two great-nephews, one great-niece, and a host of extended family members and close friends who will dearly miss his kind spirit and steady presence.
