Jerry Allen Wolfe departed this life on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the age of 76 years, 10 months, 16 days.
He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 17, 1938, the son of the late Herschel and Louella Hurst Wolfe. On July 27, 1968, he was united in marriage to Robbie Lee Brown, who survives.
Jerry was employed with Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) working in the wood yard and in the powerhouse. He had served in the National Guard from 1956-1963. Previously he had worked for Parris Manufacturing, Hassell Lumber Company, Yellow Creek, and an ice plant. He was a member of Robertson Chapel United Methodist Church, where he was the song leader for many years. He loved to listen and sing gospel music. In the nursing home he loved to play Bingo, and in his younger years he loved to play dominoes. He never met a stranger and talked to anyone that came past his room at the nursing home.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Robbie Wolfe of Savannah, Tennessee; daughters, Sherry Wolfe Neill and Christie Stricklin and husband, Kendrick all of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Jack Wolfe of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Nicholas Neill and wife, Tamara, Jessica Stricklin, and Lizzie Stricklin all of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Drexel Wolfe and sister, Betty Sue Smith.
