Jerry Rolen Wood

Jerry Rolen Wood, 85, of Adamsville passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023. He was born on December 16, 1938 in Hardin County, Tennessee in the Pyburn Community to the late Norbert and Vella Wood. 

Jerry graduated from Central High School in Savannah in 1958 where he played baseball, his favorite sport.

In 1963, he joined the Navy and served four years aboard the aircraft carriers USS Enterprise and USS American.

In May of 1965, he married Brenda Ann Perkins. A son, Mark Dewayn Wood, was born in 1968.

In February of 1971, Jerry started Jerry's TV Service and Sales in Adamsville, a business he would run for 43 years.

In his spare time, he enjoyed coon hunting, baseball, farming, and seeing after his cows.

Jerry Wood is survived by his wife of 58 years, Brenda Wood; son, Mark Wood; and lots of extended family and many good friends.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
