Jessie Charles Brewer

Jessie Charles Brewer of Rockwood, TN was born February 12, 1941 in Cypress Inn, Tennessee, the son of the late Benjamin Harrison and Mary Esterlee Whitehead Brewer. Mr. Brewer was retired from the United States Army, was a mechanic, and an ordained minister. He was a member of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Rockwood, Tennessee and was an avid contributor to various charities.



Mr. Brewer departed this life on Friday, March 12, 2010 in an automobile accident near Carthage, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 1 Month.



He is survived by four sons, Jessie C. Brewer and James H. (Jamie) Brewer both of Rockwood, TN, Richard L. Brewer of Copperas Cove, TX, Jeffrey C. Brewer of Little River, TX; a daughter, Kelly D. Bradfute of Lampasas, TX; six grandchildren, Cory and Kevin Bradfute, Kassi Howey, Jason, Adam, and Kaiden Brewer; six great-grandchildren, Gabe, Seth, Willow, and Chelsey Bradfute, Calab Howey, Elijah Brewer; three brothers, Harrison Graford Brewer of Marion, KY, Howard Brewer of Collinwood, TN, John F. Brewer of Waynesboro, TN; four sisters, Hazel Weaver and Alma Lee Bromley both of Iron City, TN, Rachel Byron of Tyler, TX, Iva Dean Milom of Chatsworth, GA; several nieces and nephews.



In addition to his parents, Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by four brothers, Bill , Ray, Grady, and Dr. Jemes Brewer.



Services will be Friday, March 19, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with John E. Banks officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery, Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Friday, March 19, 2010 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
