Mr. Doles passed away Friday September 2 at Mississippi Care Center in Corinth, Mississippi.
The widow of Laner Doles, who died on May 30, 2007 after 66 years of marriage, he was retired from Brown Shoe Company, was a sub contractor for Bell South and worked for Taylor Lumber Company. He was born April 23, 1926 to Jim and Sally Jeffreys Doles, both of whom preceded him in death and lived most of his life in Hardeman County. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a member and ordained minister at Chapel Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Jesse L. Doles (Sue) of Pocahontas, Roger Dale Doles (Frances) of Pocahontas; a sister, Louise Jones of Guys; 7 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gennie Newcomb and Lessie Newcomb and four brothers, Cline, Gene, Clifford and Kelsey Doles.
