Mrs. Jessie Pearl Frye, of Jackson, passed away after a long illness at the age of 82 Wednesday morning, June 26, 2013 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Mrs. Frye was born in Medon June 15, 1931 to the late William Alex Carter and Dessie King Carter. On February 22, 1949, she was united in marriage to Mr. Kenneth Frye, who survives, and the two lived in Hardeman County, where they attended New Union Baptist Church, before moving to Jackson. She was a member of Oakfield Baptist Church. She loved taking care of her family and home. She is going to be missed so very much.
In addition to her husband of 64 years, she is survived by a daughter, Vickie Brown and husband Joe of Jackson; two sons, Kenneth Frye, Jr. and wife Carla of Beech Bluff and Michael Frye of Jackson; a sister, Opal Avent of Christiana, Tennessee; a brother, Billy Carter of Medon; three grandchildren, Jennifer Pearson of Jackson, Kasey Crownover and husband Wayne of Hanceville, Alabama, and Derik Frye and wife Kirsten of Beech Bluff; and six great-grandchildren, Dylan, Havyn and Tanner Pearson, Shyan Crownover, and Callie and Christian Frye.
