Jessie Mae McCullough Rinks, age 98 years, 11 months, died Saturday, November 28, 2009, at the Bright Glade Convalescent Center in Memphis, Tennessee.Born on January 9, 1911, in Hardin County, she was the daughter of James Alec McCullough and Mattie Mae Pugh McCullough. She had one sister, Zora Lee McCullough, two brothers: James Garvin McCullough and Robert Garland McCullough, who preceded her in death.Mrs. Rinks was married on January 3, 1931 to Clarence Elishia Rinks, who preceded her in 1986. They were married for 55 years and had three children: Joe Neal Rinks of Pickwick Dam, TN, Peggy Rinks Robinson of Memphis, TN, and Margaret Rinks Tackett (deceased) of Selmer, TN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also leaves three sisters-in-law, Melba McCullough of Milledgeville, TN, Lathel Rinks and Geneva Rinks of Savannah, TN.Mrs. Rinks, a homemaker and farmer's wife, retired from the Hardin County Head Start Program in 1981.Mrs. Rinks was a long time member of the Milledgeville Pentecostal Church in Milledgeville, TN.
