Jim Young

JIM YOUNG

was born in Selmer, Tennessee on April 30, 1931.

On December 22, 2000 he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Parrish, who survives.

Mr. Young was Plant Supervisor of Layne And Bowler in Memphis, Tennessee. He enjoyed in his spare time doing woodworking and working in his garden. Mr. Young was of the Baptist belief.

He departed this life on February 10, 2017 at his residence in Counce, Tennessee at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 11 days.

In addition to his wife Mary Ann of 16 years, he is survived by one son, Greg Young of Florida; one step son, Billy Beckham of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren, Courtney Ghadimi and Mackenzie Beckham; one sister, Mamie Gilchrist of Selmer, Tennessee; two nephews, Wayne Elam of Selmer, Tennessee and Jimmy Young of Corinth, Mississippi.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Young and 8 siblings.
