Jimmie Elizabeth (Cookie) Gray

Jimmie Elizabeth (Cookie) Gray was born December 8, 1943 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late James Dennis and Ailene Pulley Clayton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a niece, Gwenna Elizabeth Dixon. She died on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 5 Months, 22 Days. She was retired from Murray Manufacturing and previously had owned and operated her own beauty shop. Mrs. Gray was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, David Brewer of Franklin, TN, a grandson, Samuel Clayton Brewer, a brother, Danny Clayton and a sister, Patty Major both of Waynesboro, TN.

Services will be held Sunday, June 1, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Jerry Robbins and H.H. Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Griggs Cemetery near Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM and Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at the funeral home.
