JIMMIE HOWARD
Finger, TN: Jimmie Howard age 68 passed away Monday August 3, 2015 at McNairy Regional Hospital.
He was born May 5, 1947 in Handshoe, Kentucky the son of the late Wiley and Emily Nester Howard. He attended school in Kentucky and entered the U.S. Army on Sept. 18, 1968, serving with the 173rd. Airborne, during the Vietnam War, after service he moved to Tennessee living in Finger the past 13 years. He was married to Susan McKinney on January 2, 2002. Mr. Howard was a truck driver and a member of the Pinson Church of God.
He is survived by his wife Susan McKinney Howard of Finger; five daughters, Emilia Jean Cornish (Donavan) of Lawrenceburg, KY, April Howard of KY, Jamie Goodridge (Jason) of Fruitland Park, FL, Kristie Floyd (Josh) of Savannah, Jessica Cruz (Carlos) of Bethel Springs and three sons, Jimmy Howard, Jr. (Mandy) of Fruitland Park, FL, Jimmy Patrick Howard (Brittany) of Savannah and Johnathan Cotner (Cara) of Vermillion, OH; twenty six grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, twelve brothers and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday August 6, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Bro. Ken Kitchen and James McKinney, Jr. officiating with Military Services to follow at Big Springs Cemetery at Pinson, TN.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday.
