Jimmy Cylde Dodd

Jimmy Clyde Dodd of Cypress Inn, TN was born May 2, 1943 in Lutts, TN, the son of the late Elmer Roosevelt and Venella Tidwell Dodd. Mr. Dodd was an retired inspector with Allied Specialty Precision and Mishawaka Steel and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Dodd departed this life Friday, December 30, 2016 at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 28 Days.

He is survived by sons, Jimmy Jason Dodd of Cypress Inn, TN, Nathan Wayne Dodd of Mishawaka, IN; a daughter, Dana Dodd of Mishawaka, IN; grandchildren, Tara, Crystal, Kyle, C. J., Tiara, Khalea, Cheyann, Colin Michael, Nori Wynter, Amanda, Mike, Matthew and Nick; great-grandchildren, Charity, Layla, Ne'vaeh, Daynne and Cameron; a brother, Roy Dodd of Cypress Inn, TN; sisters, Ethel May Stricklin of Iron City, TN, Betty Bickel of Mishawaka, IN; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by brothers, Ross Dodd, Donald Dodd; a sister, Lucille Bridgmon.

Services will be Monday, January 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Susan Moore Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Jason Dodd, Nathan Dodd, Robbie Dodd, Keith Dodd, Keevil Dodd, Austin and Charles Gregory.

Visitation will be Sun, January 1, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm and Mon, January 2, 2017 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
