JIMMY “JIM” FRYE

Henderson, TN: Jimmy Dale Frye, age 68, passed away May 23, 2026, at his home in Henderson.

He was born on July 19, 1957, in Jackson, T son of the late Clyde Frye and Ruby Morton Frye Crews. He grew up in Henderson and got his GED in his late 30’s.

Jimmy began helping Guy Londe crop dusting at the young age of 16 years old retiring in 2012 due to his health. Airplanes were his life.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and Pop Pop to his grandson, Boo and two four-legged girls, Zoey and Maggie.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Frye of Henderson; two sons, Jeremy Clark of Henderson and Zachary Frye (Kayla) of Memphis; a daughter, Ashley Frye (Michael) of Henderson; the only grandson, Michael “Boo” McPherson; three brothers, Clyde Frye, Jr. (Elsie) of Gibson, W.T. Crews (Janette) of Talladega, AL and Larry Crews (Wanda) of Scotts Hill; and a sister, Diane Crews (Hudson) of Selmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Tommy and John Crews; and sister, Belinda Goff and her husband, Jimmy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 28, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Les Keen officiating. Burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
