Funeral services for Jimmy Carl Turman, age 69, of Collinwood, TN will be Thursday, Feb 14, 2008 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, TN with William Moede officiating. Burial with military rites will be in McGlamery Cemetery in Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing.
He died at his home on Sunday, February 10, 2008 after an extended illness.
Mr. Turman, a native of Wayne County, TN, was retired after approximately twenty-eight years from the United States Air Force and from the United Postal Service as a letter carrier. He was a member of Collinwood United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Turman and a brother, Hollis Turman.
Survivors, wife, Juddith V. Turman, Collinwood, TN; sons, Alan Turman, Arab, AL, Gary Humphrey, Acada, CA, Carl Turman, Athol, ID; daughter, Edie Travelstead, Goose Creek, SC; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Patterson, Collinwood, TN, Mary Jo Wilson, MS; niceces and nephews.
