Jacks Creek, TN: Jo Anne Morris age 87, passed away Wednesday night at her home.

She was born in Chester County, TN on June 26, 1934 the daughter of the late Benjamin and Nanney Dees. She grew up in Chester County and attended Wilson School.

She married Earl Franklin Morris on March 10, 1951. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1992.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, collecting salt and pepper shakers and reading – especially her Bible. She was very artistic and loved to journal and collect recipes. She was a member of New Friendship Baptist church and was very active until her health declined.

She is survived by her two sons, Tony Morris (Julie) of Beech Bluff and Jody Morris (Shawna) of Pinson, TN; daughter- in-law, Debra Kay Morris of Jacks Creek ; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Gary Morris; three brothers, Travis Dees, Alvin Dees, and Thomas Dees; two sisters, Mary Spain and Lessie Snellings.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 17th at New Friendship Cemetery with Michael Cupples officiating.

The family will receive friends at New Friendship Cemetery from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM on Saturday.
