Jo Nell Hamm Plunk departed this life on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at the age of 83 years, 11 months, 16 days. She was born on January 23, 1932 in Tennessee, the daughter of the late Joe E. and Letha Strawn Brown.
Jo Nell was a caregiver and had also worked for Garan Manufacturing. She loved flowers and yard work.
She is survived by her son Barry Evans of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brandie Wallace and Abby Swisher; a great grandchild, Carrigan Chambers; and a sister, Bessie Lee of North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Evans, who died in 1969, her second husband, J.T. Hamm, who died in 1986 and her third husband, Harold Plunk, who died in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dixie Rose Burks.
Memorial Services will be held on January 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM at New Hope Fellowship Church in Hardin County, Tennessee, with Roger Hubanks officiating.
