Joe Anderson

Joe Anderson was born on December 17, 1955 in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late William Sylvester and Linnie Deshazier Anderson.

On January 17, 2020, he was united in marriage to Lynneil Robertson Curry, who survives.

Joe worked as a truck driver for Rider, Aqua Glass, and PCA. He was a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason, Shriner, and member of the Eastern Star. He never meant a stranger and was friendly to everyone. He enjoyed shooting guns, hunting, fishing, watching westerns, traveling, telling stories, going to auctions and yard sales, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to learn about history, especially World War II. Mr. Anderson was a member of Savannah Church of Christ.

Joe Anderson departed this life on April 11, 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 25 days.

He is survived by his wife, Lynneil Anderson; stepchildren, Joshua Curry (Tayde), Chadrick Curry (Lisa), Tiffany Silfee (Dustin), and Johnathon Cooksey (Candy); brothers, Elbert Anderson and Richard Anderson (Patricia); sister, Faye Barnhill (Keith); and grandchildren, Jonathan Anderson, Triston Anderson, Isabella Curry, Joshua Curry, Jr., Jacob Cooksey, Jonathan Cooksey, Jr., Trista Knipp, and Makayla Knipp.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his son, Joey Anderson; sisters, Peggy Ramey and Martha Fowler; and Will Anderson.
