Joe A. Arnold
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on October 2, 1929 the son of the late William Doc and Alma Lee Gillis Arnold.
On November 16, 1968 he was united in marriage to the former Katharion DeShazier, who survives. Mr. Arnold worked as a custodian for LTV Steel for 25 years. He was a member of Peoples Tabernacle Church. Mr. Arnold enjoyed coon hunting, digging worms, and fishing. He also loved going to flea markets and selling produce.
He departed this life on February 14, 2007 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Mr. Arnold is survived by his wife, Kathrion Arnold of Adamsville, Tennessee;
a step-daughter, Norma DeShazier Wood of Savannah, Tennessee;
a step-son, Johnny Lee DeShazier of Shiloh, Tennessee;
4 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren;
two sisters: Ruth Replogle of Bethel Springs, Tennessee and Nellie Jean Arnold of Savannah, Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Billy DeShazier;
two brothers: Doc Edward Arnold and Jamie Arnold and an infant sibling.
