Mr. Joe Dillon Brown age 81 of Clifton TN went to be with the Lord on February 16. He was born February 11, 1932 in Clifton, TN to the late William Dillon Brown and Clara Evans Brown Kelley. He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was a Korean War Veteran. He was united in marriage to Leoda Johnson on December 24, 1955 and was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church where he served as music director and deacon. He loved Wayne County and had worked at Ace Hardware for 45 years and Story and Lee in Waynesboro. He never met a stranger and always had a smiling face for everyone he will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Leoda Johnson Brown, Clifton, TN of 58 years ; daughters; Sonya Headington (Ken) Jackson, TN; Natalie Nance of Clifton, TN and Stephany Holt (Sam) of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren; Amber Prater (Tyler) Caleb Rudd; Lacy Holt; Jon Holt (Jana) and Dillon Nance; great grandchildren; Aliya Prater and Levi Prater; step grandchildren; Joseph Headington; Jeffery Headington; Brian Headington and Brittany Headington; step great grandchildren; Conner Headington; Lexi Touchton; Peyton Touchton and Matthew Hill.



Services will be held on Tuesday,, February 19, 2013, 3:00 PM at Philadephia Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Craig Mason and David Miller officiating. Burial will follow inPhiladelphia Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangments.
