Joe William Bryant

Joe William Bryant of Crump, TN was born April 23, 1919 in Collinwood, Tennessee, the son of the late Cypert Bryant and Annie Horton Bryant King. Mr. Bryant was a barber and cattle farmer. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Bryant served in the United States Army from 1941 until 1945.Mr. Bryant departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 3 Months, 27 Days.He is survived by a daughter, Jodean Bryant Downey and husband, Mark of Vista, CA; a grandson, Noah Bryant Downey; a brother, Billy Bryant and wife, Iva Dean of Iron City, TN; a sister-in-law, Marie Bryant of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by a brother, Barney Bryant; his step-father, Cluster King.Services will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Mark Downey and Greg Young officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro, TN, directing.
