JOE KATE COPELAND
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on March 4, 1929 the daughter of the late Frank and Martha Irwin Southern.
On October 31, 1946 she was united in marriage to Glen Copeland, who preceded his wife in death on August 10, 1998.
Mrs. Copeland was a homemaker and she was a member of Spoken Word Ministry in Savannah. Mrs. Copeland enjoyed sewing, flowers and gardening.
She departed this life on June 22, 2013 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 18 days.
Mrs. Copeland is survived by her children, Roy Curtis Copeland and James Milton Copeland, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Margaret Carolyn Harville of Enville, Tennessee
8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
2 sisters, Jeweline Dean Copeland and Ann Southern, both of Savannah, Tennessee and 2 brothers, Frank Southern, Jr., and Millard Southern, both of Savannah, Tennessee
in addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Marie Copeland, 2 brothers Alford Southern and Edward Lee Southern.
