Joe Dan Sweatt

Joe Dan Sweatt was born February 27, 1944 in Selmer, TN the son of the late Melton and Georgia Wagoner Sweatt.He was united in marriage to Evelyn Crowe in March of 1994. Mr. Sweatt was a carpenter and had worked for Alloy Cladding for over 14 years. He loved spending time with family and his horses. In 1977, he won world grand champion speed racking with his horse Dixie Bell, that was the greatest year of his life.Mr. Sweatt departed this life on July 14, 2012 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 68 Years, 4 Months, 17 Days. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Sweatt of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Dana Sweatt of Selmer, TN; two sons, David Sweatt of Selmer, TN, Adam Sweatt of Pinson, TN; a brother, Jerry Sweatt and wife Judy of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Emily Morgan of Selmer, TN, Dalton Sweatt of Middleton, TN; a great-granddaughter, Ashlynn Morgan of Selmer, TN; host of extended family and friends.
