Joe O’Neal Dicus, 84, of Collinwood, TN passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 23rd at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.

He was born July 21st, 1942, to Jess and Ollie Dicus. He lived in Collinwood, TN all of his life and worked as a truck driver for Hassell and Hughes.

After retiring from truck driving, he spent his time on his many hobbies like fishing, woodworking, and talking to anyone who would listen. His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rita Dicus; two children, Ricky Dicus (Rhonda) and Jill Ragan (Greg); four grandchildren, Kayla Risner (Kevin), Cannan Dicus, Madison Ragan, and Connor Ragan; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 27 at 3:00pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood Tn. with Minister David Byrd and Tim Hanback officiating.  Visitation with the family will also be held Sunday from 9am until 3pm service time, Burial to follow in Memorial Gardens.
