Joe T. Dockery

Joe T. Dockerywas born in Giles County, Tennessee on February 23, 1910 son of the late Oscar and Lena Moore Dockery.On July 12, 1940 he married the former Helen Branum, who preceded him in death in October 1992.Mr. Dockery was employed by Wheatley Lumber Company as a Carpenter. He was an US Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Dockery loved to watch Wrestling and also loved to raise gardens. Mr. Dockery departed this life March 1, 2009 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 99 years and 6 days.He leaves two daughters - Lynda Grubbs and her husband Eddie of Memphis, Tennessee and Jo Hallmark of Savannah, Tennessee.6 grandchildren - Micheal, Phillip, Tripp, Brad, Cory, and Amanda.6 great grandchildren - Lynda Gayle, Peyton, Kelsey, Reece, Ian, and Bailey.Mr. Dockery was preceded in death by a sister - Gertrude Dockery and a brother - Elmer Dockery.
