Joe F. Griswell was born March 12, 1933 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Hillard Lee and Mildred Inez Matlock Griswell.
Mr. Griswell was a hard working man, some could say that work was his hobby. He started working mules in fields at the age of 9 and has been working ever since. He worked on the pipeline, farmed and helped on construction jobs with his children.
Mr. Griswell departed this life on August 7, 2020 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 4 Months, 26 Days. He is survived by three sons, Billy Joe Griswell and wife Andrea of Ramer, TN, Gary Franklin Griswell and wife Terry of Savannah, TN, Phillip Darrell Griswell and wife Debbie of Corinth, MS; a daughter, Geneve Hill and husband Jimmy of Bethel Springs, TN; 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy White of Adamsville, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Griswell was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Nell Thacker Griswell; a son, Junior Dale Griswell; a brother, Bobby Griswell; a sister, Ruth Griswell.
