Joe Hodges

Joe Hodges was born November 30, 1937 in Perry, Florida. The son of the late Horace Hodges and Clida Hodges. He departed this life on June 19, 2024 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 6 Months, 20 Days.

Joe was united in marriage to Earlie Mills on July 20, 1957. He was a devoted husband who shared countless memories with his beloved Earlie Mills, until her passing on December 17, 2001. His dedication extended beyond his family as a police officer in Memphis, Tennessee, embodying courage and commitment throughout his career. His faith was an integral part of his life, evidenced by his role as a Deacon at Covenant Baptist Church in Michie for a time before health constraints prevented him from attending. 

Joe enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by a daughter, Tina Baldwin and husband Kevin; two grandchildren, Ashley Baldwin and Becky Black and husband Lynn; two great grandchildren, Abagail Black and Coralynn Black; and a sister, Aleeta Nelson.
