Joe Silas Holt

Mr. Joe Silas Holt departed this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 93 Years, 6 Days. He was born February 8, 1924 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late Samuel and Annie Hollander Holt. In addition to his parents, Mr. Holt was preceded in death by his first wife, Nadine Gamble Holt, son, Joe Roy Holt and an infant, brothers, Virgil, John, Bud, Alvin, Clint, Carter and Ed Holt, sisters, Evelene Hollander, Pearl Daniels, Katy Cypert, Alice Winters and Dorothy Holt.

Mr. Holt was a machinist and served his country during World War II in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Rich Kelley Holt of Collinwood, TN; daughter, Annie Mae Creek of Michigan; 3 granddaughters; sisters, Iva Dean Daniel of Collinwood, TN and Thelma Williams of Michigan and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, with John Allen Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery , Westpoint, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.


Visitation will be Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
