Mr. Joe Kenneth McMahan, age 70, passed away Wednesday morning, December 9, 2015 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.
Mr. Joe Kenneth McMahan was born Sunday, June 17, 1945 to the late William Dewey and Ruby Alice McMahan in Hornsby, TN. He was married to Linda Cox on October 30, 1966. Mr. Joe was a life-long, self-employed Farmer. He graduated from Middleton High School with the class of 1964, and served in the Tennessee National Guard from 1966 to 1970. He enjoyed many things such as rabbit hunting, logging with horses, cookouts, listening to gospel, country, and bluegrass, spending time with family, sitting on the front porch swinging, and being outdoors. Mr. Joe spent all of his life living in Hornsby, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Linda McMahan of Hornsby, TN; three daughters, Michelle Renee Rutland(Todd) of Hendersonville, TN, Tammy Kay Pulse(Todd) of Bolivar, TN, and Wendy Jo Brown(Rawlin) of Dolores, CO; a son, Justin Jay McMahan(Candice) of Middleton, TN; a sister, Faye Cox(Max) of Hornsby, TN; six grandchildren, Cassie Lindan Pulse, Eleri Sage Brown, Zane Kenneth Brown, Emmie Rose Brown, Tucker Jay McMahan and Cooper Beau McMahan; two step-grandchildren, Zoe Rutland and Liam Rutland; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins; and a special family friend, Jeff "Soda-Pop" Waldrop of Middleton, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Dewey McMahan and Ruby Alice McMahan; a brother, John William McMahan; and a sister, Louise Murphy.
