Joe R. Peacock

Mr. Joe R. Peacock departed this life on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 4 Months, 23 Days. He was born December 17, 1946 in Summerdale, AL the son of the late Frank and Frances Cooper Peacock.

He was united in marriage to Judy Carol on July 26, 1982. Mrs. Peacock preceded him in death on March 27, 2015.

Mr. Peacock had worked at the Wayne County Justice Center as a court officer. He had also worked at the boys home and City of Waynesboro Water treatment Plant.

He is survived by sons, Joseph Peacock of Waynesboro, TN, Jimmy Claridy of Summerdale, Al., daughters, Kristal Lee of Robertsdale, Al, Melissa Daniel of Cypress Inn, TN, Tonya Bowling of Lawrenceburg, TN., 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Waynesboro in Waynesboro, Tennessee. Burial will follow in Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery , Lawrenceburg, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 13, 5:00-9:00pm and on Sunday, May 14, 10:00 am until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
